Click here to download this update as a PDF.

Kumho has stated that they will file for unemployment on behalf of laid off employees. However, laid off employees should still log-in to elect your payment method, elect to have state and/or federal taxes withheld, if you want, and check your status.

You have the option of using direct deposit or getting a card in the mail. Direct deposit is typically faster – but you must log-in to set it up.

How to Update Your Payment Method

  1. Go to: dol.georgia.gov
  2. Select: UI Benefit Payments Method
  3. Follow instructions to either enter your PIN or create a PIN

How to Check Your Status

  1. Go to: dol.georgia.gov
  2. Select: Check My UI Claim Status
  3. Enter your Social Security Number and PIN
