Steelworkers Respond to Alarming Study on Health Care Worker Poverty
A striking number of female health care workers in the United States earn less than $15 per hour, leaving 1.7 million of them and their families living in poverty, according to a new study published in the American Journal of Public Health.
30,000 Factory Workers in Matamoros, Mexico Demand Fair Wages and Democratic Unions
Since January 12, approximately 30,000 workers from 45 autoparts and other manufacturing plants in the city of Matamoros have joined work stoppages and demonstrations to demand a general wage increase of 20% and a bonus of 32,000 pesos (US $1600).
