Merit can’t treat us unfairly!
The company has obligations at the bargaining table and during a first contract.
The company may blame unilateral changes on the union but they are not allowed to make changes to working conditions.
It is their responsibility to ensure that our facility runs as it should, and no chanages be made unless it is negotiated in our contract.
Merit also cannot make changes to our healthcare coverage or to our benefits while we negotiate a first contract.
It is imperative that we remain strong and unified during this fight for a contract because negotiations are won by the membership, not by individuals at the table.
