Strike Notice
The USW, with approval of the membership and the bargaining committee, has today informed ATI that we will begin an unfair labor practice strike beginning at 7:00 AM EDT on Tuesday, March 30, 2021.
We have provided the notice to ATI to ensure an orderly and safe shutdown of the equipment and facilities.
The bargaining committee requests the membership to continue to work until the strike begins and to continue to work safely. Between now and 7:00 AM on Tuesday, any personal items you may have in the plant should be removed. Once the strike begins, please follow the directions of your local union leaders and picket line captains.
In addition to protesting the Company's serious unfair labor practices, it is the utmost desire of the union to achieve a fair and equitable contract and we are prepared to meet with management representatives on a 24/7 basis. We will continue to bargain in good faith to reach a fair contract and we urge ATI to do the same.
