WorX Printing Cooperative changing the face of customized T-shirts

WorX Printing Cooperative launched on July 14 and aims to “change the world one project at a time.”

How? Simple.

WorX is owned and operated by its’ employees, members of USW Local Union 2936 in Auburn, Mass. The cooperative offers various  T-shirt options, all of which are ethical – Union-made  T-shirts, those that are made in the U.S., or eco-friendly T-shirts.

WorX uses an eco-friendly alternative to screen printing, using water-based ink and a digital printer that uses 95 percent less water and 55 percent less energy than other printers.

The cooperative’s use of digital printing ensures a faster turnaround time, minimal setup time and identical prints on each item. Digital printing also allows consumers to use unlimited colors and more customization at a lower cost than screen printing. WorX offers an order minimum of just 12 units, so consumers can avoid ordering excess shirts.

WorX Printing Cooperative is responsible to its customers and employee owners, not shareholders, making  sure employees get fair treatment and avoid the corporate run-around.
