We are pleased to announce our 6th USW Paper Sector Bargaining Conference to be held in Pittsburgh, PA on April 1-3, 2014. Delegates should plan for arrival on Monday, March 31 and for departure after 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 3. There will be an evening registration on Monday, March 31 and a morning registration on Tuesday, April 1 with meetings beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday.

The quality of future agreements depends on your participation at this Conference. The Conference theme “Solidarity, Success and Progress” refers to the formula that has been the foundation of our sectoral accomplishments, but that also recognizes the challenges that lie ahead of us.
The agenda will include plenary presentations, council meetings, and panels where we can share our ideas, highlight opportunities around health and safety issues, and hone our skills. As you can see, the active participation of your Local is critical to setting and then implementing our aims of the USW Paper Sector.
Conference Registration
In order to cover conference costs, a registration fee of $100.00 per participant has been set.
To assist in planning, we ask that you register in advance through one of these three options: (1) internet; (2) fax; or (3) regular mail (see particulars below). The Registration Form must be completed and returned by March 10, 2014.
Registration alternatives:
(1) On-Line Registration. Once you complete the On-Line Registration Form, mail your registration fees to USW, c/o Mona Weatherington, 3340 Perimeter Hill Drive, Nashville, TN 37211.
(2) Complete the Registration Form and fax to Mona Weatherington at (615) 831-6792 and mail your fees to the address above in (1).
(3) Mail your completed Registration Form and appropriate fee(s) to the address above in (1).

A block of sleeping rooms has been reserved at the Westin Convention Center Hotel, 1000 Penn Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15222. The room rate is $119.00 per night – the room rate increases $10.00 for each additional person per room. Please note that this hotel is non-smoking. In accordance with our established policy, the International Union will not be responsible for the cost of delegate(s) participation. Your local union must bear any expenses for attendance, including airfare and hotel fees.
