ASARCO has informed us they are still preparing information that was requested by the Unions and will be unable to provide that information prior to Tuesday, September 24th.
Therefore, they have requested that we meet on October 2, 2019. The Unions requested and need this critical information and have agreed to meet on October 2ndand 3rd, if needed, to negotiate a fair contract.
The company’s last proposals were deeply concessionary, but our Unions remain committed to good faith bargaining to achieve a fair contract.
