District 11: Financial Officer Training

United Steelworkers District 11 will be holding two-day Financial Officer Training in August at four locations—Minneapolis, Minnesota; Des Moines, Iowa; Columbia, Missouri; and Riverside, Missouri.

Locals should be fiducially responsible and attend a training close to their location unless there is a conflict with negotiations, arbitrations, time off issues, etc. If there is a conflict with the dates of the training nearest to the location of your local union, attendance at another location that will work better is recommended.

• These trainings are for Local Union Presidents, Financial Secretaries, Treasurers and Trustees. Each training will be split into two groups—one for financial officers and one for trustees. Local Union Presidents are invited to sit in on either the Financial Officer or the Trustee training.

• Your laptop is a requirement for this training.

There is a $50 registration fee for each participant. Lost time, hotel and other expenses will be the responsibility of the local. Please fill out and return the attached registration form along with a check for the registration fees (made out to USW District 11) to the District Office no later than July 19, 2024.
