International solidarity at its best!

Union workers at a Bahia, Brazil Huhtamaki plant stopped work for three hours during the morning of Aug. 21, 2014 in solidarity with Huhtamaki workers in the U.S.

Sindiquimica, Bahia, affiliated with the CNQ in Brazil,  and workers at a Brazilian Huhtamaki plant stopped work for three hours the morning of August 21, 2014 in solidarity with workers in the USA. Every worker at the plant participated in the work stoppage.

In the second photo, CNQ President Lucineide addresses the crowd. "Lu" had just returned from the USW Convention in Las Vegas where she addressed the more than 3,000 delegates present.  More than 10 union leaders spoke at the rally in Bahia, Brazil.
