Women of Steel Standing Proud

WOS

This weekend we saw history in the making when crowds in more than 600 cities around the world gathered as part of the Women’s March on Washington. It is estimated that over 3 million women, men and children worldwide came together in solidarity to advocate for the protection of women's rights, safety and health — one of the biggest demonstrations in U.S. history. The United Steelworkers is proud that over 1,000 Women of Steel either made the journey to Washington, D.C., or participated in a Sister March.  WOS2

Sisters from across the U.S. and Canada stood together and lifted each others voices on various issues facing women in our communities from worker’s rights, civil rights, and disability rights to environmental justice, ending violence and LGBTQIA rights. Thank you to our activists who participated and helped the voice of women workers be heard. If you want to get connected to USW Women of Steel so you get updates about future actions, text WOS to 47486.
