A Resident Educational Event and Community Walk was held on November 7 in San Bernardino. The event, attended by the Riverside/San Bernardino Civil Rights Area Committee, was held to notify residents of the advances being done at the Gerdau Steel Mill. Joining the Gerdau employees/Steelworker members from Local 8065, were members from Locals 7600, 8599, and 5632.
The second event was held on November 13 in Rialto, CA. United Steelworker Locals 7600 and 8599 participated a Turkey Give Away at the Rialto Community Center to assist families in need.
USW Staff Representative Shig Noguchi thanked all the volunteers that came out to assist with these events.
