Jan. 31, 2020: Progress at the Table in ATI Negotiations, Much Work Remains

This week, your negotiating committee continued to meet with ATI management in Pittsburgh. After receiving the company’s counterproposal on Tuesday, we were able to keep management engaged in discussions on various issues throughout the week.

While many economic and non-economic issues such as wages, healthcare, pensions, seniority, scheduling and others remain unresolved, we are encouraged by the discussions but continue to express the need to increase the pace of bargaining.

That said, as long as the company continues to propose changes in our health insurance that could require employee-paid premiums and/or dramatically higher out-of-pocket costs to cover future inflationary increases—we must continue to stand together to ensure ATI gets the message that we are united for the fair contract we have earned and deserve.

We look forward to the challenging discussions ahead as we seek to resolve important issues in the coming days and weeks and will continue sharing information throughout the process.

As always, please stay focused on working safely and remember:

SOLIDARITY IS OUR STRENGTH!
