USW Cares: Indiana Women of Steel, USW locals collect food for Local 7-669

pick2On Sunday November 24, United Steelworkers Women of Steel from USW Locals 6787 and 1014 along with USW Local 2003 delivered two van loads of food collected from Northwest Indiana Steelworkers.  The food was delivered in time for Thanksgiving and was well received by the members of Local 7-669.

The Women of Steel have been conducting a food drive since early October to help support our locked out Brother and Sisters.  A special thanks to all the Steelworkers that donated and especially to the Women of Steel who made the 12 hour round trip to deliver the food to our local.

This project is just one of so many USW's amazing members do every day to give back to our communities. If you or your local are doing good things in your community, we want to hear about them. Let us know and share video and photos at www.usw.org/uswcares and use the #USWCares hashtag when you post your stories on social media. Don't forget to shout out @Steelworkers!
