The very caring and community-minded members of USW Local 550 in Paducah, KY donated 100's of toys for the 2013 Toys For Tots Campaign.
This campaign was spearheaded by the USW Local 550 Women of Steel (WOS) Committee, for the opportunity that all members would have a chance to participate, and resulted in the largest amount of donated items ever from our campaign for the local Toys For Tots Marine program.
Hundreds of various toys (that completely filled the bed of a pickup truck) along with 7 bicycles, and $2,000.00 dollars in cash was the total given by the very active and community stakeholder members.
Some of the very members who donated, and gave of themselves so that a child would not suffer a Christmas without a present, will be laid off on Thursday, December 26, 2013, the very next day following Christmas.
