District 11 OSHA 10-Hour Training, Minnesota and North Dakota

We will be conducting a 1-1/2 day OSHA 10-Hour Training for local unions in Minnesota and North Dakota on May 6 and 7, 2019. 

The USW encourages all members to receive hazard awareness training. This training provides participants with an overview of OSHA policies, procedures and standards, as well as safety and health principles, which will raise the awareness of hazards in the workplace. After completion of the class, members will receive an OSHA 10-hour certification card from the U.S. Department of Labor. 

The details for the training are as follows:

Monday, May 6, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. (lunch provided) 
Tuesday, May 7, 9 a.m.-noon

Please be aware that in order to conduct the training, we need a minimum of 15 people to register. In addition, the maximum class size is 30 people. If the number of registrations received exceeds the maximum number allowed, participants will be accepted on a first-come, first served basis.

We have not secured a block of sleeping rooms at a hotel, but if you are in need of lodging, we have a rate of $129 per night (plus taxes) with the Delta Hotels by Marriott Minneapolis Northeast located directly across from the Broadway East building. Ask for the “United Steelworkers” rate when making reservations. Below is the information for the hotel:
