Please be advised that an International Auditor will be conducting a one-day LM and IRS 990 review session beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the following location:

USW Local 310L Hall
125 NW Broadway Avenue
Des Moines, IA  50313

PLEASE NOTE: Per the language shown below, ALL LOCALS will be required to file their LM forms electronically.  We highly recommend that you attend one of the scheduled sessions due to this change by the Department of Labor.

On July 1, 2016, the Office of Management and Budget approved the Office of Labor-Management Standards’ (OLMS) revisions to the information collection request 1245-0003, as well as the Form LM-2, LM-3, and LM-4 Labor Organization Annual Report instructions.  These changes require filers of the Form LM-3 and Form LM-4 to submit the reports electronically.  The mandatory Form LM-3 and Form LM-4 electronic filing, as well as the changes to the Form LM-2 hardship process, will be applicable to fiscal years beginning on or after January 1, 2017.

Lost time and expenses will be the responsibility of the local.  Please note that this is not a seminar, training class or course.  It is designed to assist each Local Union in filling out the required LM and 990 reports.  An auditor from the International will be present to help with the completion of these forms, answer any questions, and help with any problems you may have with your LM’s and 990’s.

THESE SESSIONS ARE NOT FOR LOCALS WHO FILE LM-2 REPORTS.

For those locals who file an LM-2, assistance with the completion of their annual reports for these locals will be provided in Pittsburgh in March.  Notices containing the dates and details for the LM-2 workshops will be sent to these local unions by the International Union in Pittsburgh.
