In accordance with Article VI, Section 1 of the Constitution of the International Union, you are hereby notified that the Constitutional Convention of the United Steelworkers will be held in the Paris-Bally's Conference Center, Las Vegas, Nevada, June 30 through July 3, 2008. The opening session will begin at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 30, 2008. We expect that virtually all delegates will be staying at the Convention Hotels - Paris and Bally's which are attached to the Conference Center. This will afford a strong sense of solidarity at this first Convention since the merger.

It is anticipated that the official business of the Convention will conclude by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 3, 2008. Please schedule your travel arrangements to be in attendance until the work of the Convention is completed.  

Article VI of the Constitution sets out the rules and procedures for the Convention, including the number of delegates per Local, the eligibility of members to be elected as delegates, the completion of the Credentials, the return of Credentials to the International Secretary-Treasurer, the contest of a delegate's Credentials and the submission of resolutions to the Convention for consideration.
