The article below underscores the power of the health insurance lobby on Capitol Hill.

 

As we seek to reform our nation's health care system, it is important our members understand the opponents we are up against.  Current - and future - retirees need to know how politics affects their retiree health care.

 

Please click on this link, telling Congress to end the large taxpayer subsidies we give to private insurance companies to provide many Medicare services. 

 

Not only is this an egregious example of corporate welfare, but it threatens the future solvency of Medicare.  This is certainly money which could be better spent.
