In an attempt to deflect public sentiment from recent reports of job losses due to free trade agreements and outsourcing, some economists and public officials are alleging that foreign companies are creating jobs by bringing investments to the U.S.

A new report by the Economic Policy Institute (EPI) has examined these claims and paints a dismal picture of what is actually happening with foreign investment and its effect on jobs in this country.
