Steelworkers Rip Goodyear Disclosure, Launch Investor Website
“Goodyear Alert” Focuses on Costs, Risks of Strike
For Immediate Release November 21, 2006
Pittsburgh - The United Steelworkers (USW) released a scathing critique of Goodyear’s claims on its recent earnings conference call, part of a series of Investor Alert newsletters the union is producing during the strike at Goodyear.
In this third issue of the newsletter, USW states that during the call “management may not have been as full, fair and factual as they are required to be in their disclosure about both the third quarter and the labor dispute.”
The Investor Alert systematically undermines Goodyear’s claims about its third quarter results, its strategic initiatives and its four point plan for dealing with the strike.
USW’s Investor Alerts are available at Goodyear Alert (www.usw.org/goodyearalert), a website that provides research and news about Goodyear relevant to Goodyear shareholders and the investment community.
“Goodyear Alert details the costs and risks Goodyear faces as a result of management’s decision to provoke a labor dispute with the United Steelworkers,” said Ron Bloom, USW Assistant |
