Stan Johnson Succeeds Connie Entrekin as USW, District 9 Director

Pittsburgh – The United Steelworkers today announced that Stan Johnson has been sworn in as director of the union’s District 9 to succeed Director Connie Entrekin who will be working as a special assistant to International President Leo W. Gerard.

Johnson, who was named by Entrekin as his assistant director in January, 2005, took the oath of office today during a meeting of the union’s International Executive Board in Beaumont, Texas.
A native of Springfield, Tenn., Johnson started his career as a production worker for Pirelli Armstrong Tire, where he held various local union offices, including President of then-United Rubber Workers Local 670. He also served on the Rubber Worker's International Executive Board. |
