USW District 11 Director Emil Ramirez Appointed to Federal Reserve Bank Advisory Council

PITTSBURGH (Jan. 13) – United Steelworkers (USW) District 11 Director Emil Ramirez has been appointed to the Economic Advisory Council (EAC) of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, Mo.

Ramirez will serve a three-year term with the EAC, which meets twice a year with the Federal Reserve Bank president to review matters relating to the local economy.

“I look forward to this opportunity to promote working family issues in our discussions of the regional economy,” Ramirez said.

The Bank and its branches in Denver, Oklahoma City and Omaha serve a seven-state district that includes Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Wyoming, northern New Mexico and western Missouri. USW District 11 represents members in Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, Wyoming, Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota.
