Washington, D.C.  – Leo W. Gerard, International President of the United Steelworkers (USW) is to appear before the U.S. Senate Finance Committee this Wednesday, Jun. 25, 2014 at 2:00 pm (EDT) in Room 215 of the Dirksen Senate Office Building.

The hearing title is: ‘Trade Enforcement Challenges and Opportunities – Using Trade Rules to Level the Playing Field for U.S. Companies and Workers.’ The committee chair is Sen. Ron Wyden (D-WA) and the ranking member is Orrin G. Hatch (R-UT).

The witness panel will include: Mario Longhi, President and Chief Executive Officer of United States Steel Corp., Pittsburgh, PA;  Kevin Brosch, the National Chicken Council; Richard Wilkins, the American Soybean Association, Greenwood, DE; and Bart Peterson, Senior Vice President, Corporate Affairs and Communications, Eli Lilly and Company, Indianapolis, IN.
