Women of Steel Community Involvement Days

Women of Steel from Locals 9187 & 1123 united twice in the month of May in giving back to the community in which we work in. Together we are striving to make our presence known  and our actions felt.  We believe that in doing so we can have a positive impact our community. KAT2

On May 14, 2016 we participated in a 5K Run/Walk for Wellness, that was organized by Community Services of Stark County.  The goal of the 5K Run/Walk for Wellness is to promote positive health initiatives through educational and supportive programming  in order to address the wellness needs of residents throughout Stark County.  Community Services of Stark County, Inc. is a not-for-profit social service/mental health agency founded in 1919 to serve needs in our community.

On May 21, 2016 we united with members of the community in the 13th annual Color Downtown Event, which was organized by the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce  by planting colorful flowers throughout the streets of Downtown Canton.

Both of these days we met several intriguing members of the community that touched our hearts, improved our spirits, and strengthened our belief that when all of us unite together, great things happen.

Participants; Sue Snyder, Elsie Fox, Katrina Fitzgerald
