Members of the ESI (Express Scripts) Council met recently to work through some challenging and difficult decisions facing their members. The Council worked together, with strength and solidarity, to Stand Up and Fight Back on behalf of the locals and members they collectively represent. District 9 is fortunate to have three (3) Local Unions represented on the Council: Tampa, Florida Locals 985, 991and 991-01.

This year for the holidays, instead of doing their annual toy drive for the children’s hospital, the Women of Steel from United Steelworkers Local 750 decided to adopt a battered women’s shelter in their community.

While many of us were lying warm in our beds or opening presents with families and friends, members of United Steelworkers Local 7150 members and families were on the line supporting their union and working families.
The members of United Steelworkers Local 13-522 at PBF in Chalmette, Louisiana collected over $5000 this Christmas to help local families in their community. Donations were collected and gifts delivered to over 30 children and families.
