USW Cares: Local 10-00086 Next Gen Members Keep their Community Clean!

Last year, a group of United Steelworker Local 10-00086 Next Generation members joined the Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful program to clean up the roads around their community and plant site. This past weekend, they returned to their adopted neighborhoods around where they work to keep them looking attractive.

“We work hard on the job and like to give back to our community off the job,” said Local 10-00086 Next Generation Chair John Beidler. “And I’m proud to show off the work being done by our members.”

USW Local Union 10-00086 Next Generation members work at Merck Pharmaceuticals and are another example of a union that cares about their community by following the Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful program!

This project is just one of so many USW's amazing members do every day to give back to our communities. If you or your local are doing good things in your community, we want to hear about them. Let us know and share video and photos at www.usw.org/uswcares and use the #USWCares hashtag when you post your stories on social media. Don't forget to shout out @Steelworkers!
