North Carolina Women of Steel Making a Difference

nc-wos1USW Local 959L hosted the recent Women of Steel Regional Meeting in Fayetteville, North Carolina. The North Carolina WOS delivered purses filled with personal items and helped serve meals to those in need at the Fayetteville Operation Inasmuch (OIAM) location. OIAM provides assistance to the homeless through education, housing and meals.

Additionally, they donated approximately 100 pairs of shoes to the Charleston Progressive Academy for Soles for Souls to be distributed throughout developing countries.

USW District 9 Director Daniel Flippo commends the solidarity and dedication of Locals 9-428, 9-425, 738, 1025 and 959L Women of Steel for their commitment to improving our workplaces and surrounding communities.
