Letter to Oppose H.R.702 or Any Legislation Which Would Lift the Crude Oil Export Ban

USW International President Leo W. Gerard sent a letter to U.S. House Representatives urging them to oppose H.R. 702 or any other legislation that would lift the crude oil export ban. If the ban is lifted, U.S. refineries are in danger of closing, causing USW oil workers to lose their jobs. Financial hardship would fall on not only them and their families, but to their communities in the form of lost tax revenue and business from the workers and refineries.
