The USW District 9 Women of Steel Conference scheduled for May 12-13, 2015 at the Hilton Knoxville, 501 West Church Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37902. All locals are encouraged to participate in this Conference designed to provide Women of Steel activists with additional tools to support their local union membership and communities.

This year for the holidays, instead of doing their annual toy drive for the children’s hospital, the Women of Steel from United Steelworkers Local 750 decided to adopt a battered women’s shelter in their community.
Today the USW and ATI met with a federal mediator in an attempt to find a solution to the current lock out
While many of us were lying warm in our beds or opening presents with families and friends, members of United Steelworkers Local 7150 members and families were on the line supporting their union and working families.
The members of United Steelworkers Local 13-522 at PBF in Chalmette, Louisiana collected over $5000 this Christmas to help local families in their community. Donations were collected and gifts delivered to over 30 children and families.
