Local 235A Continues to Push for an End to Illegal Lockout
Representatives of Sherwin Alumina requested meetings with USW representatives last week in Washington, D.C., in an effort to re-establish a dialogue with the union.
The goal of these meetings was to discuss the outstanding issues that have kept us from reaching an agreement.
By discussing these outstanding issues, we were hoping to lay the ground work for additional bargaining sessions.
While there are no additional meetings scheduled, we remain committed to reaching a fair agreement that will reward members for their hard work, provide retirement security and allow the company to invest and prosper.
