USW Cares: Locals 9923 and 978 Give to Needy Families in Counce, TN

image1Submitted by Crystal Mason

Last Friday, United Steelworker Locals 9923 and 978 made Thanksgiving a little brighter for needy families. After collecting non-perishable items for a traditional Thanksgiving meal and turkeys, they put together 50 baskets.

Using agencies to find families in need they were able to provide 10 baskets to five counties within PCA Counce Mill.

USW Locals 9923 and 978 are unions that work in their communities.

This project is just one of so many USW's amazing members do every day to give back to our communities. If you or your local are doing good things in your community, we want to hear about them. Let us know and share video and photos at www.usw.org/uswcares and use the #USWCares hashtag when you post your stories on social media. Don't forget to shout out @Steelworkers!
