Next Gen, WOS, Rapid Response Out in Force on National Voter Registration Day

Tuesday, September 23rd was National Voter Registration Day, the largest one-day effort to register voters in our nation's history. Across the country, United Steelworkers Next Generation members worked along with members of Womens of Steel, Rapid Response and others. Our activists were on college campuses, at high schools, in community centers and all over to help get students, young workers and unregistered voters registered to vote in time for the 2014 mid-term elections.

Early reports and photos have come in from Paducah, KY., Metropolis, IL., Escanaba, MI., Pittsburgh., PA, Lorrain OH, Philadelphia, PA, Georgia, Indiana, Illinois and Detroit, MI. If you helped register voters on NVRD or any day, share your story and photos on the USW Facebook page or send to newmedia@usw.org.

If you want to check your voter registration status or register to vote using our online tool, click here or visit www.usw.org/vote and pass it on!
