Lockout at PTC Alliance Ends

On Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014, USW Local 3059 put an offer together designed to end the lockout at PTC Alliance plant in Alliance, OH. The USW local committee with their staff representative delivered it to the company. On Sunday, PTC 3059-2Alliance management agreed to it in principal. However, there were a couple of minor issues that need to be clarified. Another meeting was scheduled by the local union and the issues were clarified and accepted by the membership Sunday afternoon.

All employees received wage increases, retained their excellent healthcare and a fair incentive plan. The local also made major improvements towards parity for new hires in the wage progression scale, vacations and company match to the 401k plan for second tier employees.

Local 3059 would also like to thank the USW, community and everyone who helped out for their support.

All members of USW Local 3059 are to returning to work at their regularly scheduled times starting at 11 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 3.

Spouses, family & friends of locked-out workers took over picket duty at PTC Alliance during the contract ratification meeting.
