The United Steelworkers Leadership Scholarship program is an intense four-year program aimed at developing the skills and utilizing the potential of individuals who have been chosen by their District Directors for the program. Those that complete the program form a special bond, not only with other graduates but also with those who are working their way through the program.
This year, the graduates of the Leadership Scholarship program were asked to write letters to the 1st year students. The letters were inspiring, motivating, and in some cases, humorous. Most conveyed the same message “Welcome to Leadership! You are about to begin a process that will transform you, make you stronger and make you a determined and motivated leader.”
