The United Steelworkers (USW) today announced their support for former Arkansas Lt. Gov. Bill Halter in the state’s 2014 gubernatorial race.
“I am proud to announce that my Union, the United Steelworkers, is endorsing Bill Halter’s campaign to be the next Governor of Arkansas,” said USW District 13 Director Mickey Breaux. “Bill has stood up time and again for the working people of Arkansas. He was against the Wall Street bailout in large part because there was no accountability written into it. He has always maintained that our trade agreements be fair to American workers, not just free for global corporations.
