The United Steelworkers (USW) today issued the following statement on behalf of District 4 Director John Shinn in response to N.Y. Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo’s State of the State address, which emphasized the rebuilding efforts after Hurricane Sandy. The Governor had distributed the 312 page report from the NYS 2100 Commission’s study on how to best prepare New York for storms like Hurricane Sandy in the future:
