Local union members on July 2, 2012, take a basket of products made in Maine to their Senator’s offices and their Congressional Representative, looking for them to co-sponsor the Bring Jobs Home Act. In attendance was Dan Lawson LU 1188, Linda Fairbrother 1188, Tammy Marston LU 261. |
| USW Public Sector Local Union 9265 members Karen Conte and Renee Delgato, made calls to Senator Gillibrand’s office and their Congressional representatives at their Conference day on June 29, 2012. The other members in attendance all called their Representative. Calls were made to Bishop, Tonko, Turner, Grimm, Owens, Slaughter, Gibson, Israel. |

Today in Cheektowaga, NY, District 4 Director John Shinn, Local Union 897, Plant Management, from the Xylem Corporation, and Elected Officials, held a Press Conference, to highlight the Union Management Partnership and the Jobs they brought back to the US from Mexico and China. The Bring Jobs Home Act was another major focal point of this Press Conference. |
| USW Syracuse Sub-District Local Union Members Rally to protest the closing of MK Candle Company earlier in the year, and to Show support for the Bring Jobs Home Act, new legislation introduced in Congress and the Senate is looking to have a vote the week of July 16, 2012. |
