In 1965, President Lyndon Johnson signed the landmark Voting Rights Act into law which outlawed discriminatory voting practices that had disenfranchised millions of Americans in the U.S.

Today, 47 years later North Carolina lawmakers have launched an all-out coordinated assault on our democracy by attacking voting rights. In 1965, history and progress were made. Let’s keep that progress moving forward!
