Our Struggle for Justice at ASARCO Continues

Before social distancing, travel restrictions and widespread closures of non-essential businesses in communities across the country and around the world became the norm, the leadership of USW Local 5613 from Amarillo, Texas, met with International President Tom Conway in Pittsburgh.

Our unfair labor practice strike against ASARCO continues this week while Americans and people around the world ramp up efforts to protect themselves and their families from COVID-19.

The current public health crisis may be unprecedented, but our struggle for a fair contact continues. Our solidarity has not wavered, and we remain committed to justice for all ASARCO employees.

It is still vitally important to keep up to date with reliable information about the COVID-19 pandemic and the government’s response, so we urge everyone to check the Center for Disease Control’s website:
